REQUIREMENTS FOR COACHES

 Step One: Register with the EJFL

Every coach (anyone involved in football instruction) will need to register with the Elko Junior Football League.

1.     Register by selecting Register at the top right corner of the Elko Junior Football web page. Create an account.

2.     Once logged in. Select Volunteer on the right pane.

3.     Select Find Volunteer Roles

4.     Select the 2025 Season and select View Available Positions

5.     Select Position and Division and select Continue

6.     Select yourself and select Continue

7.     Fill out the required information and then select Continue

This will complete your registration with the Elko Junior Football League

Step Two:  Heads Up Certification (For football Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Trainers Only)

Every coach (anyone involved in football instruction) will need to be USA Football Heads Up Certified. This is a yearly requirement. You can create an account at USA Football, but don’t sign up for the course until you receive a voucher code from the Elko Junior Football League organization. This will allow you to get the certification at no cost, and it also helps keep track of who is certified.

1.     Log into an existing account (or create new) here: https://account.usafootball.com/login

•    Update organization & personal info

2.     After login, go to your Dashboard and click on Access Certifications

3.     Click Take Me There in upper right to access certification site

4.     Select the appropriate course and add to cart

• Tackle Certification for tackle coaches
• Flag Certification for flag coaches
  

•   Click Do you have a coupon code?
• Enter the code provided the Elko Jr Football League to get the certification for FREE

5.     Proceed to course and complete each module

•  Returning coaches can “test-out” of each module by answering 5 questions correctly

6.     Coaches will receive a certificate via email upon completion
