How much is is to sign-up?
Flag ages 5 - 7 is $85.00
Rookie - Seniors Tackle ages 8 - 14 is $220
When is open ceremonies?
Opening ceremonies are on September 10th at 9am at Stout football field.
When is draft?
Draft is July 25th - 27th. Once your player has gone through draft, Soon after draft your coach will be communication with their players to begin arranging team meetings, player fittings, and practices.
What happens if your player cant make it to draft?
Your player will be placed into a hat to be picked by a coach randomly. Once select, your player will be assigned to that coaches team.
When do sign ups begin?
Sign-ups normally begin in June and typically fill up quickly. You can learn about sign-up information in our news post on our front page, in the forms you can download the Sign-up information, and by going to our “Registration” link in the menu for the most current information.
When does the season start and end?
The season starts July. The season, including Playoffs, ends in October.
What is the practice commitment?
Prior to the first game of the season, practices run Monday through Friday evenings. Practices runs for 2 hours each. Once the season starts, practices are normally 4 times a week in the evenings. Some coaches may have a walk through, or no hitting practice, on Fridays.
Where and when are practices held?
Teams in the EJFL will be assigned practice fields for practice time. Teams will only be allowed to practice on their assigned fields. At no time will a team be allowed to practice on any other field without permission from a member of the Board of Directors. There will be no practices allowed on the High School field at any time.
Where are games played?
Home games are played at Dave Stout football field and the Matt Trontel fields on Flag View Dr.
How many games per season?
There are usually 6-8 regular season games. There are additional games if your team makes the playoffs. Playoffs are single elimination. If your team does not make the play-offs, they may be invited to play in an end of season invitational tournament.
What do I do if I will be out of town on sign up day?
Contact any board member to make arrangements as needed. You can locate the contact information of any of our staff on our website.
When will I know what team I am on?
The league draft takes place in the beginning of July. You should be contacted by your coach or someone from your team later than Mid July, so you know where to report for the first practice.
How much do the Elko Junior Football Board Members and Coaches get paid?
The EJFL is a non-profit organization and all Board Members and Coaches are volunteers.

Each November at the final EJFL Board Meeting of the Year, new Board Members are either voted in or volunteer for positions for the following year.
How do I get a refund?
We have a strict no refund policy which you are required to acknowledge during the registration process. Please make sure your child wants to play before signing up. Costs are incurred, money allocated, and budgeted based on every player who signs up. Since we are a non-profit organization money is tightly budgeted based on the number of players signed up.
What equipment should my player have before Opening ceremonies?
Players must have Cleats, padded pants, Rib gear, Chest Gear, Helmet, and a mouth Guard.
